ok guys I have been terrible about blogging. Really terrible. Thats what instagram will do to you.. well that and 15 studio classes and 80 hrs of work a week (ok ok I do get paid to sleep, but it does eat at my studio time) and then I got a boyfriend which in responsibilities is similar to adopting an 8 year old boy. Funny how life has to cut into art, but I think the only way I find peace is by balancing love for others and my art with the responsibilities of life. I've tried to parr down that equation and always seem to result in anxiety and forgetting to eat.
However! I have been finding ways to overlap them. For example, painting and drawing from live models-

Obviously my skills are a little rusty, but I think there is value in painting from life in a world dominated by the internet and people so caught up in the business of their own schedules. We don't make time for real interaction.
